We are shocked by the terrible news about Sir David Amess, highly respected and dedicated MP for Southend West and friend of the Thames Estuary. We pay tribute to Sir David’s outstanding contribution to Southend and the Estuary.
Member of Parliament for Southend West since 1997, he previously held the seat for Basildon, stood for election in Newham North West, and served as a Councillor at London Borough of Redbridge for a number of years.
Our thoughts are with Sir David’s family, colleagues and all who knew him at this tremendously sad and shocking time.
