We are delighted to announce that we will be at the Thames Estuary Development Conference on 30 November 2021.
The Thames Estuary Development Conference, in association with Birketts, organised by Built Environment Network, will be a hybrid all-day event in November to discuss the myriad of exciting opportunities in the UK’s number one government-backed growth opportunity: the Thames Estuary.
Participants will hear from a range of public and private sector c-suite speakers, including Kate Willard OBE, Estuary Envoy, who will discuss the Growth Board’s transformational plans for the area in her keynote speech.
The Thames Estuary is brimming with potential.
The Thames Estuary Growth Commission reported that this region could potentially create 1.3m new jobs, 1m new homes and add £190bn GVA to the economy by 2050, and we are starting to deliver that. With the recent award of a Thames Freeport and work underway on exciting regeneration projects in Thurrock, Newham, Bexley and Barking and Dagenham, as well as Estuary-wide hydrogen, digital infrastructure, river freight strategies this transformation is already happening. And much more is planned.
Crucially, the Growth Board and partners are dedicated to ensuring this will be good, green growth that benefits people, businesses and the environment in the Estuary; it will support the development of the creative sector in the Production Corridor and will support levelling up, net zero and global trade priorities.
Join us at the conference, where you will hear details of some of the most significant projects that will contribute towards this vision and find out how your organisation can become a part of the region’s development. Find out more about:
- Building a Smarter, Greener and More Equal Thames Estuary.
- Best Practice: Lower Thames Crossing – Development and Delivery Update.
- Developing the Thames Estuary Production Corridor.
- Solving the Housing Crisis and Major Residential Development.
- Transformational Development Initiatives – Showcasing Regeneration, Land and Property Development Projects in the Estuary.
Kate Willard OBE, Estuary Envoy, said “I am really excited to meet with colleagues at this event. This is a truly expert programme of high-level speakers from private and public sector interests. The Thames Estuary isn’t a single major regeneration scheme, its rich tapestry of related and complementary projects that will create a brilliant place to live and work. It’s about physical and digital infrastructure, creating brilliant places. Whether colleagues join virtually or in person this will be a fantastic day to network, hear the latest – in some cases exclusives – about projects, understand the opportunities and how to get involved. Join us!”
The Thames Estuary Development Conference, in association with Birketts, organised by Built Environment Network, will be a full-day event held in Canary Wharf London and virtually on 30 November 2021.
